The young man was shaking from anger.  His hands were holding two guns.
One pointed to his own head.  The other was aimed at a woman who was screaming from fear.  The color of his face turned red as he yelled:  "If you don't love me, both of these guns will go off."  She realized that there was nothing she could do, so she calmed down and responded, "I'm sorry, but you can't make me love you."

As we leave this couple to their fate, we have a perfect example of what love can and cannot do.  Love is a mystery.  It is born out of free will in the hearts of the giver.  Love is then expressed to the receiver.  There is no such thing as automatic love.  It is always generated by decision.
Therefore, we can now conclude:  Without a free will, there can not be any love.  The awesome Creator made us with a free will, and He wanted fellowship with us.  You say what?!!  Yes, God wants to be loved, just like you.  But if God had commanded Adam and Eve to obey Him, or if He had made them robots, then again love would not exist.

Adam and Eve had a choice...
... you have a choice, and don't say that this is just an interpretation of God.  That would be like having two cups in front of you.  One has tea in it, the other one has coffee.  That is not an interpretation.  You cannot taste the coffee and say, " I interpret this as being tea."
No, you go ahead and taste and see that the Lord is good.
